Traveling North on Route 1 from Bucksport, Maine to Ellsworth, Maine:

Look for the yield sign where Routes 172 and 1 merge, travel 150 feet, turn right onto South Street. Look for the river.

Traveling South on Route 1A from Bangor, Maine to Ellsworth, Maine:

Turn right at the light at Dunkin' Donuts in Ellsworth. Follow Main St. / Route 1 South. Go straight, through the set of lights at the intersection of Main and Water Street. Cross the Union River Bridge. While on the bridge, start looking left. Turn left onto South Street immediately after crossing the river.

Traveling North on Route 3 from Bar Harbor, Maine:

Follow Route 3 into Ellsworth. Turn left on to Route 1 / Main St. at Dunkin' Donuts. Follow Main St. / Route 1 South. Go straight, through the set of lights at the intersection of Main and Water Street. Cross the Union River Bridge. While on the bridge, start looking left. Turn left onto South Street immediately after crossing the river.

Traveling South on Route 1 from points east of Ellsworth:

Take Route 1 to Ellsworth. Routes 1 and 3 merge. Follow Routes 1 and 3 into Ellsworth. Turn left on to Route 1 / Main St. at Dunkin' Donuts. Follow Main St. / Route 1 South. Go straight, through the set of lights at the intersection of Main and Water Street. Cross the Union River Bridge. While on the bridge, start looking left.
